Reuben J. Los Baños
ABSTRACT
The study aimed to examine the relationship between perceived stress and quality of life among paramedical college students in Negros Oriental, Philippines. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 580 paramedical college students using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire Form. This study used both descriptive-correlational and descriptive-comparative research designs. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman rho. The study showed a significant relationship between perceived stress and quality of life. Subsequently, an inverse relationship was found between perceived stress and quality of life. As perceived stress goes down, the quality of life of paramedical students goes up. The result of the study highlights the significant impact of perceived stress on the quality of life.
