      With today’s fast-paced technological landscape, it is imperative to keep up with the radical transformation of the economic, political, social, and environmental landscape. In the academic sphere, research activities have become very competitive. Thus, the School of Public Affairs and Governance (SPAG) of Silliman University is committed to various research initiatives and endeavors.

     The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 52, series of 2016 (Ched.gov.ph) encourages academic institutions to be involved in the Philippines’ national transformation through the “production and transfer of knowledge that is fundamental to the country’s engagement in the knowledge-based global economy (Ched.gov.ph).” Withal, the School of Public Affairs and Governance (SPAG), under Dr. Ferdinand M. Mangibin's leadership, aspires to be at the forefront of research undertakings in various academic disciplines.
